If everything is emphasized, nothing stands out. In typography, IMPACT BOLD is the font that we associate most with newspaper headlines. Eye catching. Punchy. Newsworthy. As newspapers die out, imagery has replaced typography. Gault's intention with this collection is to embrace the intersection of what the headline says, and who the headline is about. The collection includes people - famous, infamous, newsworthy, or forgotten - who have moved Gault personally. The exhibit can be seen from November 14th to December 7th at The Mayfair Hotel’s Regime Contemporary Gallery in DTLA.
